The Growatt BMS (Battery Management System) controller is an intermediary device between the inverter and the battery. Its main tasks are to monitor the state of charge of the cells and to balance them by supplying the appropriate current and voltage to the individual cells.

In photovoltaic systems with energy storage, the BMS is essential if the inverter does not have a built-in controller. The APX BMS controller supports between 1 and 3 APX batteries.

TheGrowatt hybrid kit should include:

• Configuration for one inverter:
  • Minimum of 1 APX battery
  • 1 inverter + monitoring (Shine WiFi-X, Shine LAN-X or Shine GPRS-X)
  • 1 APX BMS (cables included)
  • 1 APX battery base
  • 1 bidirectional (phase) meter, supplied in the inverter box
